Javea (Xabia) oder Xabia in Valencia) Spanien ist eine Küstenstadt in der Comarca Marina Alta, etwa 80 km nordöstlich von Alicante, zwischen Altea und Denia. Sie erreichen Javea über die Straße N 332.
Javea begann vor mehr als 30 Jahren (seit den 1970er Jahren) Nordeuropäer anzuziehen, Expatriates zum Kauf von Altersvillen und die Stadt hat eine aktive Immobilienbranche.
Javea hat jetzt etwa 31.100 Einwohner, die jedoch durch den jährlichen Zustrom von Sommertouristen auf weit über 100.000 angewachsen sind.
Die Stadt ist in drei Teile unterteilt: Javea Pueblo (die Altstadt), Javea Puerto (das geschäftige Hafengebiet) und Playa de Arenal (der Hauptstrand).
Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Stadt Die hübsche Altstadt von Javea ist einen Besuch wert.
Im Zentrum der Stadt, größtenteils aus originalem Tosca-Stein, der aus dem felsigen Ufer gehauen wurde, befindet sich die Kirche Sant Bartolome aus dem späten 14. Jahrhundert.
Vom Hafen von Javea einen Pfad hinaufgehen – der Hügel der Bucht ermöglicht einen beeindruckenden Blick auf das Cabo de Nao.
Das Tauchen in in der Stadt ist sehr zu empfehlen und es gibt unzählige Tauchshops, die Einführungstauchgänge und PADI-Kurse anbieten.

Es ist auch ein Bogen aus breitem weißem Sand, der von einer Promenade mit Restaurants, Geschäften und Bars flankiert wird.
An den Sommerabenden gibt es eine Reihe von Ständen mit handgemachtem Kunsthandwerk. Viele der Bars bieten Livemusik und sind bis in die frühen Morgenstunden geöffnet.

Javea started attracting north Europeans more than 30 years ago (Since the 1970s), expatriates to purchase retirement villas and the town has an active property industry.
Javea has about 31,100 habitants now, but this is greatly swelled to well over 100,000 by the annual influx of summer tourists.
Javea is divided into three parts: Javea Pueblo (the old town), Javea Puerto (the bustling port area), and Playa de Arenal (the main beach area).
Attractions
The pleasant old centre of City is worth passing a few hours, in the centre of town, mostly built in original Tosca stone hewn from the rocky shore, sits the Church of Sant Bartolome which dates back to the late 14th century.
Walking up a path from the City port – the hill of the bay allows an impressive view on the the cabo de nao.
Scuba diving in the City is highly recommended and there’s no end of dive shops offering introductory dives and PADI courses.
There are also some good trekking routes around Javea and if you are interested in doing some trekking you should ask in the Tourist Information office for the booklet „Nature Parks and Trekking Routes“.

Javea Beaches
Playa de Arenal is City beach area. Its also an arc of wide white sand flanked by a promenade of restaurants, shops and bars. During the summer evenings there are a number of stalls selling handmade crafts.
Many of the bars offer live music and stay open until the early hours. Sand artists and street entertainers work along the Arenal beach during the summer months.
The beach itself is fabulous with superb fine, golden sand. There are volleyball nets along the back of the beach which are popular later in the day and there are plenty play areas for the kids. Home.
