Die Stadt Denia ist eine hübsche und charmante Stadt in der Provinz Alicante Spanien, an der Costa Blanca, auf halbem Weg zwischen Alicante und Valencia.
Mit rund 45 000 Einwohnern lebt die Stadt nicht nur vom Tourismus, sondern ist auch heute noch ein funktionierender Hafen. Das alte Fischerviertel hat seine hübschen Kopfsteinpflasterstraßen und weiß getünchten Gebäude bewahrt, aber in der Nähe finden Sie vom Hafen von der Stadt aus täglich Verbindungen zu den Balearen: das kosmopolitische Ibiza, das schöne Palma de Mallorca oder Menorca, das friedliche Formentera und alle anderen Inseln.
Denia hat ein warmes und gemäßigtes Klima mit einer mittleren Jahrestemperatur von etwa 20° Celsius. Die Temperaturen reichen im Allgemeinen von einem Tiefstwert von etwa 5 °C im Winter bis zu einem Höchstwert von etwa 40 °C in den Sommermonaten.
Die Stadt dient auch als nördliche Endstation einer malerischen Meterspur-Eisenbahnlinie durch die Berge von Alicante (im Volksmund als Limon Express bekannt), die von FGV betrieben wird. Sehenswürdigkeiten in Denia Denia hat mehr als 20 Kilometer Küste.
Im Norden sind die Strände sandig, im Süden sind sie zerklüftet und mit Felsen bedeckt, wie der Strand von Las Rotas mit seinen zahlreichen tollen und schönen Buchten und Flecken.

Wie komme ich in die Stadt, die Stadt ist mit dem Auto oder der Bahn gut zu erreichen. Es gibt eine Ausfahrt von der Autobahn A7 und von Ondara (Ausfahrt 62) gibt es eine Verbindungsstraße zur N332. Kontakt.

The town of Denia is a pretty and charming city in the province of Alicante Spain, on the Costa Blanca, halfway between Alicante and Valencia.
With about 45 000 habitants, Denia not only make their living from tourism, it is still a working port. The old fishermen’s quarter preserves its delightful cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings but nearby you’ll find from Denia harbor there are daily connecting ships going to the Balearic Islands: cosmopolitan Ibiza, beautiful Palma de Mallorca or Menorca, peaceful Formentera, and all the remaining islands.
Denia has a warm and temperate climate with a mean annual temperature of around 20° centigrade. Temperatures generally range from a low of around 5° C in the winter to a high of around 40° C in the summer months.
The city also serves as the northern terminus for a picturesque metre gauge railway line through the mountains from Alicante (popularly known as the Limon Express), run by FGV.
Denia Sightseeing
Tha City has more than 20 kilometres of coast. In the north the beaches are sandy, and in the south they are jagged and covered with rocks, like the beach of Las Rotas with its numerous great and beautifull bays and spots. Every year, the European Union awards the blue flag to these beaches for their cleanliness and good equipment.
Denia is home to a castle located on a rocky crag overlooking the city. You can park on the outskirts of the town and walk through a tunnel under the castle into the main shopping centre.

How to get to Denia
The City is within easy reach by car or train. There is an exit from the A7 highway, and from Ondara (exit 62) there is a connecting road to the N332. A narrow gauge train connects Denia with Alicante, the capital of the province. It is only 58 kilometres to Benidorm.
